DeAccessing Port for DISCHARGE!!!

Wait what?!

Wait what?!

ANC is at 1600!! (Absolute Neutrophil Count)

Absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is a measure of the number of neutrophil granulocytes (also known as polymorphonuclear cells, PMN's, polys, granulocytes, segmented neutrophils or segs) present in the blood. Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell that fights against infection.

All levels are cleared for discharge!  The big problem is Jax won't eat or drink much.. Dr. C says the most important thing is he needs at least 40 oz. of fluids per day to stay hydrated. We need to make the decision to take Jax out for a few hours and see how it goes ooooorrrr take him home for a few days! We need to go on a pub crawl!!! We are going to take him home and monitor his fluid intake... ;l

So the temp schedule is this:

go home for a few, bone marrow biopsy on Tuesday, re- admit to St. Joe's Monday 8/15 for second round of Chemo.

Its a short reprieve but, we'll take what we can get!!!

Raise your fists!!
